Dental Membership Termination Dates

There are specific days of the month that should be used when terminating dental contracts.

For cancelling members with ID numbers that begin with a “2” and do not contain an alpha character, use the last day of the month as the cancel date (this applies to medical AND dental).

For cancelling members with ID numbers that are nine characters long, with an alpha character in the middle, use the first day of the month (old LRSP IDs)

This is based on the "to vs through" logic. If the last covered day should be 12/15, the cancelation date for ID numbers that begin with a “2” would be entered as 12/15 with our Dental system conversion. This would have previously been entered as 12/16 for ID numbers that are nine characters long, with an alpha character in the middle.

Please contact your account manager or account service representative with any questions.
