New Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program Delayed

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is introducing a new preventive service in 2018 called the Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program (MDPP).

The original start date of the MDPP service was listed in the Evidence of Coverage for 1/1/2018.

CMS has delayed this start date until 4/1/2018.

Employer Groups and all Medicare Advantage members are being notified of this delay in the start date.
