COVID-19 Vaccine Coverage

By mid-2021, it is believed that FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines will be available to the general public. Once available, under state and federal mandate, vaccines will be provided at no cost* to our members during the public health emergency.

Key facts about COVID-19 vaccines during the public health emergency:

  • Multiple vaccine products are in varying stages of emergency use authorization review by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
  • As the various vaccine products are authorized by the FDA for emergency use, they will be distributed according to a scheduled plan developed by the government, with high-risk groups receiving vaccinations first.
  • Vaccines will be provided at no cost to our members.*
  • Our members may access vaccines from any service provider that offers them, regardless of whether that provider participates with the health plan’s network.

*Members of a select number of “grandfathered” employer groups may need to pay a cost share for the administration of the vaccine. Please contact your broker or account representative if you need detailed information or have questions.

PLEASE NOTE: Our dedicated COVID-19 website will always have the most up-to-date information on vaccines, mandates and anything else related to the pandemic. Please visit this site first to find the most current information.
