Introducing Welvie My Surgery℠ – We know that one of the keys to better health is better health literacy – the ability to understand health information and services and use that knowledge to make informed decisions. It’s especially important with major decisions like surgery. That’s why we have partnered with Welvie® to offer Welvie My Surgery℠ to our Fully Insured commercial group plans, Qualified Health Plan, and Essential Plan members starting in April.
It’s a self-guided online program that leads participants through the decision-making process if they’re considering an elective surgery. If surgery is the decision, the program helps them prepare and recover, to avoid complications and have the best results.
Please note that members do not need to be currently considering surgery to take advantage of the program. At some point they or someone they know may need to decide whether to have surgery or not. Learning about this program now will help them with those future decisions.
Welvie® will be reaching out to eligible members starting in April to introduce the program and offer a gift card to those who complete the first three steps of the program. See the link below for a preview of the Welvie® flyer they will be sending out to members on the program.
